Homeschool Websites – Together At Home
VocabularySpellingCity Review March 1st, 2012

Like lots of homeschoolers, I HEART SpellingCity.com.  What a great site.  Both the free and premium are great. The premium is only $30 a year for automated grading of vocabulary and spelling tests, record keeping, and access to all the premium content.  This is definitely worth it and absolutely something we should support with our dollars.

VocabularySpellingCity’s mission is to facilitate vocabulary development, phonics, and writing skills through a word study tool that allows for differentiated instruction while working with vocabulary and spelling word lists. The site has been particularly useful in engaging struggling students, facilitating English language vocabulary skills with ESL students, building a school-home link, and simplifying teachers’ and parents’ administrative work.

The most popular learning activities are unscramblewordsearchhangmancrossword puzzlealphabetical order practice,  grammarhandwriting practice worksheets,  and writing activities.

Have fun playing spelling games
